Worst DJing moment: | Playing out when id had a few too many when i was a young rookie at Exodus, dropped a mix, then took the wrong needle off the record!! Warehouse goes silent, crowd takes the piss. Apart from that ive been ok... |
Would most like to play: | At Exodus again!! (Man I miss them days!!) |
Most enjoyable set you've played: | Probably Exodus New Years 1995/96 (10000+ people), hard to say though, ive loved just about every night ive played out at. Difficult to specify a favourite! Playing Fabrique in Zurich was a mental experience too. |
When you're not DJing you're: | Chillin, Mixin, looking for tunes, listening to other DJ's |
Favourite DJ: | Sy (93-04 style) or Pilgrim |
Favourite Venue: | Exodus Luton Airport or Exodus Heath and Reach Quarry, WICKED VENUES!! (if you were there you'll know what im sayin!! ;-P) |
Favourite Promotion: | Exodus Promotions |
Favourite Label: | Basement / Formation / Sub Base / Movin Shadow / Slammin Vinyl |
Biggest Influence: | Early influences were from the Scottish Scene, mainly Rezurrection DJ's, Bass Generator, Ultra-Sonic, Technotrance etc..., I dont play this style but still love the music.
DJ's i aspired to match were Tango + Ratty, Ratpack, Sy, Slipmatt, Pilgrim, Jumpin Jack Frost, DJ K to name but a few.
Heavily influenced by the free party scene in the 90's, Exodus was the biggest underground sound in the country. The best DJ'ing experiences i have ever had were in Warehouses, fields, quarries and Barns all over the south east of England. These were the 'real' raves, in my eyes the commercial scene never quite managed to match the vibe you got when you attended these illegal raves!!
Hip Hop has also been a huge influence, the beats, the b-lines, the breaks and the samples can all be heard throughout my sets. |
Words of wisdom: | Prepare, practice, experiment, Music is what you make it. |
Other Comments: | Available for bookings anywhere in the UK, no matter how big or small. Big up to all the Exodus cru, Luton Ravers and the Berwick cru!! |
