Requiem is back with a bang!
After some slight behind the scenes alterations, the best true Hard House club night in London returns with just the same ethos as before – to provide you with 8 hours of the best new music in the scene from the best DJs and producers the country has to offer. This one also happens to be the birthday celebrations of myself and new co-promoter Sarah AKA Crampo so you can expect quite a knees up!
There was only really one option for headlining this party for us, and that is in my eyes (and many others!) the best Hard House producer of all time, Dom Sweeten AKA Defective Audio (and Base Graffiti, Tomcat, half of OD404, etc…). Dom has provided the scene with so many anthems, from The Hulk and Decimal Dust to Fireball and Bad Motherfucker to Freakin It and Loose Chemical, his output is relentless and of the highest quality, with his collaborations and engineering consistently hitting the spot.
Joining Dom will be Requiem regular Marc Johnson, boss of FlashPoint Records and Tripoli Trax. Marc needs little introduction to the 414 Massive having played the previous nights, he’s one of the very best producers and djs in the scene – A legend! Following hot on his heels is the brightest new star on the circuit – Oktane’s Adam M. Adam is not only a fantastic technical DJ but has one of the best discographies around – with each production hitting the spot and signings to most of the major labels, and his own night Hi Oktane going from strength to strength.
Lastly but not leastly, we have three more super-talented up-and-comers. Chris Comben of Combat Records fame will be giving his buddy and long time co-promoter a good old send off with a warm up set as only he knows how. Twist resident Tom Basquil AKA Whore Of Filth has had loads of practice honing is skills in to one of the tightest mixers around, and will no doubt be displaying some EVIL tunes. And finally Liverpool’s finest export, JoJo, will be showing everyone why she’s so highly rated in the scene with her penchant for the banging ‘ard stuff.
There will also be a CD giveaway on the night – the first 50 people will get a CD mixed by Defective Audio – a mix that will not be put up for download!
If you don’t come I’ll never speak to you again.
