NEWLY-WEDS IMPLODE AT CLUB 414
IMPLOSION “18th Act”
It has been a busy couple of months for Implosion (Brixton monthly, having-it, psy-trance party) promoter Jay OM - putting the final touches to Free Spirit Compilation vol. 1 – Brahmaputra (a debut release from Free Spirit Records, for which he is responsible, available the end of this month), celebrating Implosion’s third birthday (700 well-wishers ramming The Telegraph, air conditioning packing it in half-way through the night, a memorable, if slightly sweaty, occasion) and last, and by no means least, marrying Implosion co-promoter Bridget.
Their honeymoon consisted of a few days in Dublin (a tour of the Guinness factory the apparent highlight), because Jay is first and foremost, a club-promoter. Deriving greater pleasure when dealing with guest-list blaggers, heavy-handed security staff, short-sighted venue owners and djs that continually ask for more money, than the consequences of love. So planning for Implosion @ Club 414, 23rd September, provides him much enjoyment.
Guests djs are, Free Spirit’s newest contributor, Dj Meko - currently producing under the name Gaiatech his style is a mix of psychedelic and progressive trance, groovy and full-on – Also, fellow Free Spiriter and contributor to Brahmaputra, M-Klome, alongside Nic No Name, Evil Twins, Max Stellato aka Project FM, Fordy and, as is his prerogative, Jay OM. With a multicultural and friendly crowd, a welcoming dance-floor, UV stalls, dancers, bananas and decor transformation it is just possible to get a small insight into the reasons for Jay OM’s twisted priorities. So join him, but just be aware you too could become a slave to the music.
Dancing on the dance floor you close your eyes, feeling the beats deep within, the music making your whole body vibrate with delicious energy, as the rhythm lightens your spirit.
A smile beginning to form in the pit of your soul, it’s warming you, moving upward then erupting upon your face … you have just imploded, again.
