Sixth Sense returns on Saturday 10th March and makes it's London debut at the newly refurbished Southside Bar in Brixton. After the fun that was had at our first event in Maidstone (Kent) with the fabulous Andy Bagguley, our second sees a move to a new venue and a line up of some of London's top DJing talent.
Our headliner for the evening will be top London DJ Jurrane, and on the back of extremely successful gigs at Turnmills, Heaven and Planet Angel at Hidden we're extremely chuffed to have him on board. After wowing the crowds of London for several years, Jurrane has built up quite a following and has enjoyed playing alongside the likes of Matt Hardwick, Cor Fijneman, The Viceroy and as part of line ups for Tidy vs Euphoria, Vaccine, Addiction, Wildchild and Knowwhere. Jurrane enjoys a blend of both uplifting and pumping, bouncy, hi-octane trance, and that is reflected in both his sets and his growing catalogue of studio productions. Jurrane is signed to Magic Beans Records, and has forthcoming tracks and remixes signed to both Flux Delux and Six:Thirty Records. David Murtagh is one third of the team behind the hugely successful promotion Prehab. Starting off at the old Southside Bar many years ago, David and the Prehab crew have worked tirelessly at making their promotion a success..... and as a shiny beacon to all of us, they recently got the call from Turnmills and have now made T3 their home... bringing their unique and eclectic music to the masses. Having picked up the Harderfaster.net award for Best Promotion 2006 (beating the likes of Vaccine, Knowwhere, Wildchild and Party Proactive), 2007 looks set to be an even better year for Prehab. Dave has been a driving force behind Prehabs success, and his varied and always entertaining sets have become stuff of legend. Mat Lock is another up and coming London based Trance DJ and plays trance across the board, including progressive, uplifting, euphoric and hard trance. Mat has been DJing in London for 2 years now and has played at Turnmills, Heaven The Fridge, Club 414 and the Southside Bar, as well as in Brighton and Liverpool. Hosting his own radio show called Fear Of The Unknown on ETN.FM, Mat showcases new up and coming DJs, as well as established names and producers. On the production side of things, he has recently completed "Deep Psychosis", a collaboration with his friend Luke Warner. Look for a digital release soon. ...and finally, the Sixth Sense residents Showdown, Ant Attwood, Gareth Evans complete the lineup. Showdownare a DJing duo Keiran "Kizzye" Everard and Phil Aand will be making their big venue debut (as Showdown). Having completed numerous guest mixes for internet radio, Showdown will be starting their own show on KTunes Radio very soon... which promises to be an excellent show. Stay tuned for more info. Ant Attwood boasts appearances on Riley & Durrants Nu Breed radio show and recent regulars gigs at Maidstone's River Bar to his name. Ant co-hosts (with Phil A) a popular radio show entitled DESTINATION:trance on www.Party107.com. Welshman Gareth Evans will also be joining us after playing such an excellent set at the first Sixth Sense. Gareth is a bit of a superstar in his local Wrexham, and we're thrilled to have him playing with us in London.
On the night, the bar room will be hosted by the fantastic guys from Injury Time. These chaps have been putting gigs on at the Southside Bar for a while now, and always attract a great crowd with their electro house and dirty tech.
So as you can see..... everything is set for what looks to be a cracking night. With Trance in the main room, and some wicked electro stuff in the bar room.... there's no reason not to come down if you live in London, or even to travel to if you that way inclined. Add in the fact that entry is totally free before 11 o'clock (and only a couple of quid thereafter) and you could even be quids in!
