Colours September 10th
After the rave reviews from our August party, we are delighted to be returning to the Fridge September 10th. This follows on from our hugely successfully launch of Colours @ Factory and our previous three parties at the legendary Fridge, where the production values are, simply unsurpassed, Colours is again moving on from success to success.
This time we are delighted to be able to welcome Barry Diston to centre stage to delight us with his LIVE performance. Barry Diston, who needs no introduction, a legend and a well known producer (spacequake, fucking insane, and holding on; the list just goes on and on) who will take us with him on a very special uplifting journey, through his live performance.
Barry Distons Live show, takes playing live to a whole new level. This is more than just tweaking a few filter sweeps over existing tracks, and more than just triggering samples on and off on the laptop. In this live show, the whole of the fidget studio gets set-up on stage. The various parts of each track are mixed through the mixing desk LIVE, also all the synths are running through live, direct from the hardware. The most outstanding part of this live performance is the way Barry actually plays the complex lead riffs in the tracks LIVE using the keyboards. This is as live as it gets – don’t miss it!
Another Colours first is the debut of Steve Blake from Impact records. Steve Blake is well known for his classic tune I get a rush, which is still played every single weekend across the nation. His illustrious remix list just goes on and on and we are looking forward to welcome his spectrum of sound to colours.
We are also excited about welcoming back the *Ting* (Proactive, Torture Garden, Frantic, Ricochet) at Colours. Like the last party, the *Ting* has been given total freedom to perform and Dj as she sees fit, providing us journey that simply can’t be missed. You will be captivated with her unique mix of music and the shear energy that only the *Ting* can deliver.
And of course, our residents Red and Blue (Twist, Frantic, Blast, Ricochet) will be returning with their unique mixing style coupled with their wide spectrum of music that takes you through bouncy, uplifting and classics, but all with their hard driving sound. These guys just have to be seen!
Colours, now monthly at the Fridge offers you higher production values in terms of lighting, full multi-colour lasers and all the rest you come to expect from the Fridge. However, Colours go further, expect a full on party environment with helium filled balloons and impromptu live acts on stage and else where.
Based on our past Dreams series, where we held four parties over the last festive and holiday season each reaching our capacity of around 1,000 up for it clubbers at the Colosseum, showed what Hard Dance clubbers want; uplifting, at times bouncy, but always happy party.
From our original principles of our Dreams series of parties, we are offering you a night tailored to take you on a true musical journey that progresses smoothly through the night, not a mishmash of ill sequence DJs that so many other clubs just throw together. Unlike Dreams, Colours will focus solely on the Harder Dance and not defocus on other genres.
We have purposely decided that we will go with a small team of quality DJ’s that are unique in their style and mixing, and who have proven ability in progressing the night smoothly. All working together for that very special musical journey.
However, watch out for our very special one-off events at other locations that will occur from time to time.
We are striving to provide everybody with a clubbing family, for all to enjoy and be one. Simply, the place to be with your clubbing family.
Colours is about the perfect world that we all want to live in. Equality for all. Peace for all. Colours is a true Polycultural and Polysexual club, a club for all, a club of tolerance, and most importantly, a place to party on that musical journey we promised you.
And on a final note, we are not going to forget the less unfortunate, Colours is supporting the Starlight Children’s Foundation, to support the less fortunate children in our community.
