Perhaps best known for being part of X-Press 2, Ashley has many more strings to his bow being an aficionado of funk, disco and house and widely regarded as a superb DJ, remixer, label owner, producer and re-edit king. He fits perfectly with the Cuts Above theme of booking stellar DJs who can span the genres.
His acheivements are too many for us to summarise here but he's been fighting the cause for the good groove since his musical career began in earnest in the '80s. For Ashley, notions of genre mean little. He's got a deep knowledge of every style under the sun. Be it house, hip-hop, reggae, punk, symphonic soul or raunchy '70s rock, what matters more is if it sounds right — has the passion, intensity, funk and flavour to light up an Ashley Beedle DJ set.
We've not even started on his back catalogue of productions, remixes and re-edits under his many different monikers and he continues to produce into 2016, with cuts and collaborations aplenty. Ashley is both classic and current and we are excited to welcome him to the Cuts party.
