Greetings 2'00'8 'lings,
Would you believe that The Year of Double 'O' 7 has come & gone just like the Bond films every year but in the same sense that they become Classics - 2007 has to go down as one of our Absolute Favourites to date! We said that about 2006 & before that 2005 & so on so while the Analysts are struggling to predict which way the Property Markets are going - we can see that there seems to be a trend of events that just seem to get Better & Better!
After our 2 Month Sabbatical away from the Night Life - we open the Elek2ronik Ceremony of 2 '00' 8 with some vibes Reminiscent of the Big Bang by bringing none other than South African Born, Portuguese Origin, Ex-Belgian Res, now living In Dubai - *Whew!* Peppermint Club's Finest Resident, NELSON AFROBOOGIE! Most of us remember the days of ESP & Flyhouse and some of us even a little further back when Nelson,Surge & Dizzy were in full operation with the NSD Parties which kick started for many of us our Addiction to the JHB Nightlife! But hey - enough with the past because at Present, 17 Years on, Nelson is Not just one of the Front Runners of the South African Scene- he is regarded as one of the Big Players on the International Stage playing regularly alongside Legends like Danny Tenaglia, Timo Maas, Lee Burridge, etc. He's had a number of tracks on his Afroboogie Imprint receiving 5 Star Recommendations in DJ Magazine, he has a release coming out on Dave Seaman's Label AudioTherapy in a few weeks and he was tipped in the November 07 Issue of i-DJ Mag to be 'One to Watch in 2008'. So we're proud to be kick starting the Year with the Quality of Nelson for One night in London only.
ELEK2RONIK presents NELSON AFROBOOGIE at Inigo on Friday, the 25th of Jan. As per usual, your Jesters & hosts will be 2 PhUnKeD uP and we also have Shaun Rowland which some of you will know from the infamous Saturday afternoon/evening BecomeOne parties - he's back from a long Sabbatical Down Under and will no doubt have everyone at Inigo in unison to his beats.
Blissfully Warming things up in the way that he does best will be Ryan Bliss! (You didn't see that one Coming! ;-) No Stranger to Elek2ronik - he'll be making sure you forget about the working week gone past & welcome the evening in style!
Inigo is now Open till 4am!!! We Repeat 4am!! So instead of heading off to a Big Club and spending Extortionate amounts of money on Club Entry and Drinks - we now get to stay a little longer at the Closest thing you'll get to that House Party Vibe without actually being at a House!
