Description
Brand new night comes to the fab space 'Club Warehouse' with its underground old skool feel, set deep in a north london trading estate, this is the perfect setting for this underground & deep house shindig...
Club warehouse is currently undergoing a serious change in its music policy, expect nothing but the hottest acts and brands in the near future
Bump lands with saved records Jordan Peak at the helm backed up by No Artificial Colours, who are currently setting London alight. When we add to this lineup with some of London's finest, this is a night you cannot afford to miss!
Jordan Peak:
Focusing on low slung house music full of swing and swagger, Jordan has a knack for creating raw analogue charm and already encompasses a growing spectrum of sounds. Currently in the midst of a speedy ascent through the production ranks, his output already includes an intriguing set of releases, for a UK act, on labels such as Robsoul, Raum...Musik, Saved and Tsuba. This is quite an introduction to music making, considering that Jordan only released his first record in late 2009.
This year will see further releases on these labels, as well as new material on Hudd Traxx' sister label Smoke City, and an EP on Adam Shelton and Subb-an's exciting new One Records imprint, which is part of an intriguing new wave of UK labels. This new charge is spearheaded by the likes of Jordan and fellow Brits like Robert James - who were together named on Radio 1's 'Introducing' section of the Essential Selection as being the names to watch in 2011.
No Artifical Colours:
Fresh faced duo No Artificial Colours have been a dominant force on London's underground house music scene ever since they teamed up several years ago, bringing their soulful, groove driven sound to virtually every notable club in the capital, including Ministry Of Sound, matter, Brixton Academy, Koko, Egg and Cable, and festivals including Glastonbury and SW4.
akaRyan Ellis (23) and Lewis Wright (26), the boys met when they kept finding themselves booked at the same gigs, and when they often got asked by promoters if they could play back-to-back, the pairing made perfect sense. They soon discovered a shared taste not just in musical style but also in making their sets varied and frenzied.
In terms of production, their work has quickly been noticed by the biggest names in the industry. No Artificial Colours' debut EP, 'Welcome To The Jungle', dropped in Spring 2011, and dance floor killer 'Detroit Baby What' gained instant support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Maya Jane Coles and Visionquest, and instantly shot to Beatport's top 20 for Tech House. The anthem could be heard all summer on the worlds most iconic dance floors, including Ushuaia (Ibiza), DC10 (Ibiza), Space (Ibiza) and the Full Moon DJ Festival (Jesolo, Italy). Not bad for your first EP.
Above all, the boys quick rise through the ranks of the UK's house music scene is probably down to the unique atmosphere they build in their technically accomplished DJ sets. These skills have seen them booked alongside some of the biggest names in the industry in recent months, including gigs with Nick Curly, Lee Foss, MANIK, Subb-an, Jordan Peak and Russ Yallop, in venues up and down the UK and across Europe.
