Here we have another quality trance offering from the Warner backed UK dance label Code Blue, responsible for numerous other club classics including Ascension's 'Someone' and the more recent hit by Oceanlab (Above & Beyond) with the uplifting sounds of ‘Clear Blue Water’.
Originally released on very limited edition vinyl during late 2000, ‘Armageddon’ by Merge (aka Les Hemstock) is now available once again - accompanied with an exclusive mix by the Hemstock & Jennings team to make matters even more pleasing. The tough trance number flaunts killer riffs and evil elements, creating a disturbing and unsettling atmosphere, whilst the bass continues to thump away over some fine percussion. The remix action is a superb rework, with more uplifting elements and a slightly lesser pace, it stays true to the original and progresses into a ‘Sonorous’ style breakdown over a shifting bass rhythm and driving riff that’ll blow you away!
Currently receiving a hammering from Fergie and The Judge over at Radio 1, it would seem that Les has a rather busy year ahead of him; let’s hope that his revealed plans for the Hemstock project build solidly without obstacle.
Another quality cut for Code Blue! Check it out!
