The 3rd release from Surbiton's very own Kev Wild sees him follow up the Paul Van Dyk championed "Euphoric Dream" with an absolute beauty! The A Side "Driving Mix" is the one that does it for me, very reminiscent of the latest batch of Hemstock & Jennings productions and it does exactly what it says on the label - great driving rhythms and a pumping bass with a simply huge riff in the breakdown, the production quality is right up there and the arrangement almost perfect. I've been playing this out loads recently and it hasn't failed to get a great reaction yet!
The B Side "Original Mix" is a less full-on affair and for me doesn't quite hit the mark, the riff isn't nearly as powerful as the flip side, and the overall prodcution seems weaker. That said it's ideal fodder for those non-peak time sets and still works melodically.
So definite progression from this label, you know you're onto a winner when Dave Pearce plays your tune for 3 consecutive weeks on his Dance Anthems Show - the A Side will find it's way into many a big name record box!
