Ok I have to share this cos i'm feeling all noble....

My boyf found a wallet today. I came home from work and it was sitting on the table....It had everything in it- Countless credit cards, photos, driving license and a fifty pound note.

He said he was very tempted to take the note (we are both soooo broke at the moment and 50 quid would go a long way!!) but wanted to see what I would say, and of course I couldn't cope with the guilt of not handing it in so we took it to the guys house and knocked on his door, giving him back his wallet fully intact- Fifty pound note and all.

And guess what- He gave us the fifty!!!!!!! Thumbs up

Honesty does pay off once in a while- Now we have the money without the guilt of knowing it didn't belong to us.

Cool eh?

What would you have done with it? Would you take the money????

u totally did the right thing... for all u knew that 50 could have been his kids lunch money...... but it wasn so its fine...

i lost my wallet last year at uni photocopy room.... and was so pissed off cos it had 40 quid in it that i had been saving for weekend amusements.....

but it turned up a year later!!!! someone handed it into my uni history department!!! and it still had the 40 quid in it!!! that was a bloody good day!

i think.... i think.... he's called.... MILFORD CUBICLE

Theres a law to this...

If its lying in the street then give it back no matter what. If it belongs to the old, young.. whatever, then more of a reason to do so.
BUT..
Whenever im out in a bar/club (not clubbing tho, boozing!) if the idiots stupid enough to get so drunk and loose it, then take the cash note, its their fault! - but return the wallet to behind the bar so it can be returned to them by staff when they realise. They get the wallet with everything else (most important stuff being cards i.e. bank, drivers licence etc) bar the note which they'd just have spent on more booze..you're doing them a favour!! Big grin
If the amount is more than £60 though then you probably shouldn't, around £20ish is 'ok'.
Moons

I suppose the same could be said of for phones? What do you do? I think always return them no matter what.

Or expensive/important stuff like laptops or briefcases...

MENTAL BASTARD!! Ner Ner! ( Dont F**k with me or I will Knee-Cap you...)

Why did you regret it?

Oh well heres the story. In brief!

I was working on a ferry crossing to Holland. I found a passengers wallet. It was styffed with cash, and cards and a family pic. The bloke was loaded from south america.

I took the wallet to the ships purser, they tanoid and tanoid ..... waited and waited then this south american women turned up and said what the hell do you want? the purser asked her to get her husband and asked me to wait. He turned up and we all went into an office. the pursor asked him to check his wallet and told him I had found it. He wasnt even excited., he didnt give a toss, it was an inconvienience getting his wallet back. I was made to feel like a criminal when they were checking it. He didnt say thanks. He was a c*nt!

Later I watched him spunk the lot over a blackjack table.

As one door closes....another bangs shut! Devilish
