Why's that ?

Because the fan can be a lot bigger if it's on the bottom, so they run at a lower RPM for any given volume of air compared to a smaller fan.

All the quiet PSUs are built like that.

Just be wary of the PSU's that require minimum load eg. Thermaltake 750W as the machine wont post without enough load. Kinda stupid really, but i dont think this can be avoided. If you are building a decent PC you dont really need to pay attention to watts or how quiet it is but Amps. Most modern video cards use a bucket load, used to have issues with this stuff when i was doing sales/tech at the pc shop. If you want to buy a decent PSU, avoid normally acceptable PSU's such as antec(cause their new manufacturer is shit) thermaltake(due to the minimum load crap) and even some of the zalmans. I'm currently using Corsair, does the job perfect and none of the issues with having to have a minimum load on the 12V rail.

Almost identical to my spec Laughs out loud

But 2GB of RAM is silly as you can get 4GB for around £34 these days.

Never seen Seasonic in Aus, as for Enermax they make the current gen Antec EarthWatts PSU's if thats anything to go by i'd rather shit on them then use them. Corsair's are very good IMO, i've put this thing through a lot of crap running stuff and it still doesn't miss a beat so i'll be upgrading to the 1000w once the latest eventually after BS delays, nvidia gtx card gets to Aus in Jan. So want to try two of them in my X58 board

Corsairs are actually rebranded Seasonics, Seasonics are the OEM version by the manufacturer.

I dunno about Enermax building for Antec (Antec used to be their own manufacturers), but their Noisetaker range is top quality.

Unfortunately Antec dont make their own PSU's anymore. Because of that they fail in large amounts. The old PSU's they used to make were very good, dont get me wrong i used to swear by them. But their Earth Watts 500W range for instance had a failure rate of 26% which included both the PSU's by themselves and the ones they supplied with the Sonata range of cases. This failure rate is far worse than the 22% we had for the second revision P35 chipset gigabyte boards i saw. If you want stat proof for this just let me know as one of my good mates still does RA(Returns) for the company.

Edit: Must make the point that Antec dont make the PSU's for Australia anymore, this might differ depending on country. I know it's definately the case here but as anyone knows that changes country to country.
