Glad we agree on something!!! Thumbs up

Bitter promoters REALLY piss me off.

It doesnt really translate into self confidence very well.

this thread has scared me Disturbed I'm new on here and there seems to be a lot of tension brewing Nervous

I would like to say that the fridge hasn't gone down hill but the scene has. Promoters have been looking at using smaller venues look at Logic for instace it's usually the fridge and it would usually be rammed. This year it was held at Hidden and was far from rammed! and now its all up n coming djs playing (which can be good) but it doesnt attract the people, it seems to be about cutting costs lately and no good dj's equals empty dancefloors! it's always quiet from end November till the end of January, the only promotion I know will be rammed are Psygate/Antiworld and Frantic Timeless as always offer top class line ups!

If you want a rammed event get Andy Farley back I say Thumbs up oooohh I miss him (king of clubs at camden place, what a night that was)

Don't let this get to you its just uptight promoters who have probably have a bit of a pooh new year Crying (very sad)

The scene is great you just have to make sure you go to the right parties Big grin

can you recommend me a party? I know timless will be good

Some people have an interesting idea of "constructive" criticism Laughs out loud I'd be concerned if you were teaching my kids if thats what you call it Thumbs up

It was without doubt one of the top nights of last year so expectations were sky high even though the lineup was a little different.

This year I spent most of the night in the Ice Box and we all had an absolute ball in there rolling out some top older trance tunes I can tell you (none digging deeper in the archives than Steve Hitch).

www.affinity.web.com The dance floor never lies..

Next playing - Extreme Euphoria -Boxing Day 2005 at the Fridge. Simply the best tunes from years gone by...

Phew now that I can get a word in edgeways! Wink

Personally I had a wicked time playing for One's second birthday in the Ice Box. Thanks Karl and Most Wanted for putting me on, giving me a chance to play some of my favorite tunes from the late 90's... and my debut at the Fridge!

Also I wanna say thanks to Steve Hitch for letting me play an extra tune, giving me the chance to finish my set with Solarstone's Seven Cities. Cheers dude your a star! Thumbs up

I spent most of the night in with the Classic Trance everyone played a blinder, you could tell that every DJ had thought long and hard about their sets... and what I saw of the main room looked rockin to me, even if it wasn't all to my taste. What ya needed though was more lasers!!! You can never have enough lasers in my book Wink

Catch me, Paul Mayes (aka Custard) @ Pink Love charity Fundraiser 21/1/2006 (PM me for more details), TND/Guilt – Magic Beans Recordings Showcase 24/2/2006, Addiction @ Freedom 16/3/2006, Innovate @ The Fridge 18/3/2006

Boundless - united futures of trance!!! watch this space in 2006! Big grin

Check out the posts on this thread, it couldn't be more opposite to this one and gives a pretty good idea of how to get it right when it comes to running a club night. Wink

Pretty much anything by frantic seems to deliver. Obviously Twist and Blast are the best Big grin .

There are some excellent exciting new events actually. Summit seems to have made an impact. Obviously always make you own mind up but there are a few promotions out there atm that seem to be killing the scene.
