Gravity is Cape Towns hottest and funkiest new gay dance venue.
The pink community of Cape Town has been starved of a great dance club since the demise of Sliver mid-2007 and slightly reinvented itself with the major reshuffling of the gay venues (Loft Lounge, Sauls the Venue, Bronx, Beaulah bar and Bar Code) to be situated all on one block on the other side of Somerset Road and now with its latest addition to the block – Gravity.
Gravity is a multileveled venue. The downstairs bar will open from Monday to Saturday and hosts s service bar, pool tables and a chill area.
The club upstairs will be open on Fridays and Saturdays. The regular Friday night soiree is 'POPularity' – it's all about maintaining your social status. POPularity's music policy is the very best in POP radio commercial hits blended with commercial dance remixes. POPularity is brought to you by the oh-so-cute Josh Borrill and guest DJs; Bradley, Spinsista Mitzie, Phonics as well as the Gravity residents Charl Zer0, Blaine and Leroy Tayler.
The resurrection of dance club culture begins with 'Rise!' every Saturday night at Gravity. This regular club night bill takes on a bit more twisted approach to a night out at ground Zer0. Providing you with an intoxicating experience of twisted but groovy house beats mixed with a killer sound rig and colourful lighting display. 'Rise!' is dished up to you by the Pink village's hottest talent; Blaine, Leroy Tayler, Charl Zer0, Josh Borrill and guests.
Gravity will be host to many queer events with Cape Towns hottest DJs Leroy Taylor, Charl Zer0, Blaine and many more. Expect a banging sound system and lighting rig you have never experienced before.
